ZCCM-IH’s procurement process is guided by the Public Procurement Act (PPA) of No. 8 of 2020 and the Public Procurement Regulations of 2011 (SI 63).

These two instruments are aimed at upholding the 7 Public procurement fundamental principles, namely: (a) transparency; (b) competition; (c) economy (d) efficiency; (e) fairness; (f) value for money; and (g) accountability.

The governing Authority of this Act is the Zambia Public Procurement Authority (ZPPA) which is an independent regulatory body with responsibility for policy, regulation, standard setting, compliance; and performance monitoring; professional development and information management; and dissemination in the field of public procurement.
